I'm thinking of double rifles, which are set for convergence at a
particular (pretty short!) range.
Indeed, if memory serves (the lantern I'm swinging has got a chain on it
damn near 20 years long) some of 'em had only a foresight bead on then a la
shotgun style.... (????)
Correctamundo. That's all you need at 25 yards in front of a
****ed-off hephalump.
Some here perhaps won't realise that ya couldn't have the Guv'nor's country
pile 'til you had faced and dropped a seriously narked bull elephant 40
yards in front of you, once upon a time (that and one or two 'rites of
passage' I won't go into....! Of course, nowadays, you just wait
'til he's had his heart attack - usually a year or two before your
own......!
Damned good show, what?!
(Wildly OT but who cares - we're all waiting for ukrav now and
it *is* the holiday season! ;-)
Too true - I'm off to Corfu tomorrow!
However do not
underestimate the effectiveness of the 303/SMLE in the hands of a trained
soldier in terms of 'accuracy' and rate of fire in particular.
Indeed not, especially the mk4 with a 'star' barrel.
Anyone not doing this for a living, who
*needed* more than 100 rounds, should probably not be allowed out
without his guide dog! :-)
I don't think the quarry would cut you enough slack to be able to go and get
one.
You miss the point. You feed the dog to the quarry while you leg it!
Unnecessary - see previous post about 'broon jobbies'.....
Ouch! True enough in some well-documented cases, but you can't really
do that these days - can you? :-)
Anyone who thinks that racism is just plain wrong is invited to visit
Africa, where genocide is a way of life. Most Africans would be hard
put to find a reason why you would *not* exterminate another tribe, if
given the chance.................
