According to What HiFi Sound & Vision's 'Ultimate Guide to High End' the
world's 'best kit' includes items priced as follows:

Digital Media Player - Meridian Soolos 2.1 @ £7,000

CD Players - Naim CD555/555PS @ £16,395

Stereo Amplifiers - Plinius Tautoro/SA-Ref @ £18,975

Speakers - Wilson Audio Duette @ £11,950

Turntables - Clearaudio Innovation Wood/Universal/DaVinci V2 @ £12,900

And that's only the 'hifi', the AV section goes even wilder - the B&W
CT800 speaker system @ £67,950 fr'instance!

Now we know what some of those Bankers' Bonuses go on....

:-)

Indeed. I well remember shooting part of The Bill in a penthouse on the
river near overlooking the Houses of Parliament. Had this sort of thing.
Sounded truly dreadful due to the acres of bare glass and solid wood
floors. Nor was there any 'sweet point' seating between the speakers - and
the screen wasn't between the main pair either.

There was a brand new Harley mounted on the wall, though. The fire brigade
winched it in at a reputed cost of 5 grand...

Might have some pics somewhere.
