According to What HiFi Sound & Vision's 'Ultimate Guide to High End' the
world's 'best kit' includes items priced as follows:
Digital Media Player - Meridian Soolos 2.1 @ £7,000
CD Players - Naim CD555/555PS @ £16,395
Stereo Amplifiers - Plinius Tautoro/SA-Ref @ £18,975
Speakers - Wilson Audio Duette @ £11,950
Turntables - Clearaudio Innovation Wood/Universal/DaVinci V2 @ £12,900
And that's only the 'hifi', the AV section goes even wilder - the B&W
CT800 speaker system @ £67,950 fr'instance!
Now we know what some of those Bankers' Bonuses go on....
:-)
Someone I was speaking to suggested drugs money - he could think of no
other explanation to associate the people he was working for and the
money they were throwing at hifi (he installs it).
I know a banker person - he's more houses and cars. I don't think he has
a hifi as such. In fact i've no idea what he does with his money - his
houses and cars roughly equal a year's 'salary' and he's been doing it a
while.
All bonkers anyhow.
