Default Different Planet HiFi?

I'd expect an ear transplant and a live in engineer for that money.

Of course you forgot the important part, the specially designed house with
listening room and the special cables to connect it all up. Then you have
the special mains wiring and filtering to consider. What about Radio?
It would surely be cheaper to book the acts you like to listen to and have
them perform, just for you.

I was flicking through a magazine in a waiting room the other day that was
so current (September 2010) and so incredible I stole it!

According to What HiFi Sound & Vision's 'Ultimate Guide to High End' the
world's 'best kit' includes items priced as follows:

Digital Media Player - Meridian Soolos 2.1 @ £7,000

CD Players - Naim CD555/555PS @ £16,395

Stereo Amplifiers - Plinius Tautoro/SA-Ref @ £18,975

Speakers - Wilson Audio Duette @ £11,950

Turntables - Clearaudio Innovation Wood/Universal/DaVinci V2 @ £12,900

And that's only the 'hifi', the AV section goes even wilder - the B&W
CT800 speaker system @ £67,950 fr'instance!

Now we know what some of those Bankers' Bonuses go on....

:-)
