Default dilemma, speaker decision for different amplifiers

I've seen this kind of writing in books. American or
Irish maybe, can't
remember. I think you're supposed to feel like you're in
the author's
head, having his thoughts.

Freaky.

Who was the guy in Catch 22 who kept marbles in his
mouth? The
stupidest-looking guy gets away with the biggest con.

Stream-of-consciousness is a nice touch...just for that
moment you can be
the OP, feel the naive vulnerability directly in your
head, beyond
question.

"im old and stupid why dont you try con me out of my
inheritance im so easy you dont need to be careful just
send me some money on the sly"

That was a very spiteful and pointless post.
