And here's a shot of the Acer Revo computer's screensaver:

Cracking little machines - perfect for WMP, iPlayer, You Tube &c. but I
believe the spec of the latest ones whilst still ample is down on the
two I
have got and there's a new 'multimedia' model out (Acer Revo 100)
which I
know nothing about other than the spec is up but it is twice the price.

Aye, makes my Mac Mini look overpriced if you don't need much more
than a media server.
I suspect I know the answer to this, but what do you do for a remote?
I don't use one myself other than when I'm using the Blu-ray player: I
prefer the mouse and clicking along the progress bar in WMP for video
recordings and the BBC and ITV online players. Tbh, I never use the
'cinema' Revo for playing music:

But they are easy enough online to find if you Google 'remote control
for pc':
Here's a good page where you will see most of them are USB:

Like this one which looks quite dinky:

Yes, I thought you'd forsake. I've actually got one of those add on ones
for a project PC I was building, but could never get it to work
reliably. The Mac one is typically sparse:

And I use an iPhone or iPad for most things using a remote app:

All go :-)
