Excellent!

There was a slot on R4 the other day, and it seems some people are
starting to try to understand why all this is happening. This particular
piece, centring on sound quality, suggested the crackle/pop/'warmth'
created something approaching 'authentic' - that is, matched an
expectation of what the sound should be like, especially for older
recordings. And this made the experience of listening to music more
enjoyable.

Dunno. Not complaining mind :-)
