Hi all,
I need to collect a Thorens TD 160 Super turntable tomorrow.
(An impulse ebay purchase.)
Anyone know where the transit screws are?
And does the platter just pull off to save the bearings from
the journey?

I seem to rmember that the turntable is an outer with a large
hole which sits over the inner and the drive belt runs around
the
outside of the inner.

Thanks. It includes an SME Series IIIS arm and A&R Cambridge
(Arcam) P77.
Good enough to transcribe a few LPs, then probably worth more
than I paid
if I split it and sell the arm and cartridge separately on
ebay.
Quite likely - clean up the arm and take a few close-ups. I've
sold a few SME arms like that which have easily covered the
cost of the host turntable.

Don't knock it. The TD160 is as good as many and better than
most - when set up correctly.
Not knocking :-) I had one a while ago - very nicely screwed together.
