Could you supply the part number, please?

I wish I could but, although I have a pair of them in my hands right
now and the connectors are embossed with the RadioShack name, no parts
numbers or clues to them are apparent.

Ahh. Sorry - in the UK RS means RS components who are a pro supplier of
electronics and just about everything associated, but I couldn't find them
listed.

BTW, another solution is to get female-female cables (I also have
those) and put a regular male-male cable on one end.

Perhaps the neatest way if you can't solder would be regular male to males
with female to female 'back to back' connectors at one end - these are
available from Maplin in plastic body at 0.79 HH05 or gold plated metal at
1.99 PL57.

Finally, for USers, the first place I'd turn for such things nowadays
is markertek.com as there are no longer any local Shacks around here.

RadioShack was Tandy in the UK and they've sort of disappeared.
