Michael Fremer has published pictures of stylus wear on several
occasions in Stereophile. He uses a USB microscope. Look at:

Actually it is "yes". He has published several pictures showing wear
on a stylus via the USB microscope.

Then why don't you post a link to a decent image rather than a search query?
Very simple: This gives multiple results and the single image is
