**The Alphason is a reasonable arm. Arguably better than the cheap Linn
arms (Basic et al), but not as good as the higher end Linn arms (Ittok et
al). The Sumiko Blue Point No 2 is a reasonable, high output MC cart.
Stylus profile is a standard elliptical type and the cantilever is an
aluminium alloy. Personally, I don't care much for high output MC carts,
but some people like them. I'd rather have a Shure M97XE. Cheaper and more
capable.

Is the Linn an electronically speed controlled variant? They are better
and worth more than older variants.
