Basically, I need to run an unbalanced circuit close to some mains

buzz.
Tried some RG 59 I have lying around which eliminates the buzz -
but I
don't have enough and would prefer a more flexible audio cable.
Happy to buy a reel. It will all get used - eventually.
I'm guessing a braided screen plus perhaps a conductive plastic
layer
would be ideal?
**Find some second hand Monster Interlink 400. Very well shielded.
Individual wires are plastic coated, so corrosion is a non-event.
Best of all, because it is an 'audiophile' cable and no longer
flavour of the month (it's about 20 years old), it will be very
cheap. Maybe even free. And, despite the fact it is (or was) an
'audiophile' product, quality is very high. This is the stuff I use
now:

Obviously, this is retail pricing, but you get the idea. Connectors
are hand soldered(!) and cable quality is very impressive, with PE
insulated centre conductor, with braid and foil shield. I just cut
to length, if required.

Er not quite Trev.
New

Used

£510 for a pair of 20" phono interconnects which new have no
attenuation but used have 14dB attenuation. Eh? Then they want £100 to
'burn in' the cables...........
If you buy those you do need locking up!
**I have no idea why you bothered posting those links.
The Monster's you quoted above do appear on fleabay around £10 but are
still available new (!!) for north of £40 for a 2m pair, so maybe not
so cheap?
**Which is precisely why I suggested second hand is the way to go. The
cable, itself, is particularly robust. 30 year old stuff will work just
fine. Most of my stocks I acquired for free.
