Decent phono cable.
One of that problems I've had with microphone cables of the unbalanced kind
is not hum, but crackle. It sounds like static as if there are minute
discharges as the cable is moved or bent.
The cable is quite old now, but I'm sure it never used to do this.

Need some well screened co-ax 'phono' cable. A quick look at CPC shows
only the usual lapped screen variety. Which I already have.
Basically, I need to run an unbalanced circuit close to some mains
lighting wiring which has a dimmer. And the stuff I have is letting in
buzz.
Tried some RG 59 I have lying around which eliminates the buzz - but I
don't have enough and would prefer a more flexible audio cable.
RG58 can be more flexible.
Happy to buy a reel. It will all get used - eventually.
I'm guessing a braided screen plus perhaps a conductive plastic layer
would be ideal?
