Default Beringer sound card on usb issue

No the issue is that the screenreader I'm using is ok on the internal sound
card but is far below any usable level on the device and this goes for
system sounds as well.
It seems to me that there is no ability on the current control panel to
alter all of this for the new hardware.
I don't use Audacity aas I have a registered copy of Goldwave which I find
works better for me.
I had expected it to work like a cheap sound card I have from creative
where when you plug it in, it downloads drivers and the just works. Sadly
the creative is only really meant for output and only has a mono input.
The Beringer surely should work the same way as its line level output.
Obviously something is restricting it tht i cannot control.

OK I'll look later on.

Brian if the device you have is a Behringer U-Phono UFO202, then no
drivers are needed for full functionality, the software mentioned is
just a copy of Audacity and a couple of other freeware audio programs.

From what the manual says and from my experience with one a couple of
years ago, (which ended when I dropped and then stood on it.) then the
audio output level pretty much mirrors the input level, if the output
is low then so is the input.
