Default old hi fi gear

No its not, there are three. Technics very large one used by talking
newspaper, Sharp budget deck, and I also have a Denon here with three heads
that seems to always be suffering from speed issues due to poor grip on its
capstans.
None are usable by me as I cannot see the meters any more. Using an old dbx
technics to convert some recordings to cd.
The denon also has a plastic washer missing from its feed spool as eject
eventually knocks it off, its been through three.
The equaliser is a JVC sea10, with five ganged sliders. the rogers is a
cadet 2, with supposedly 12.5 watts a channel, but it sounds a lot louder
to me. the front din socket is worn, it needs a new scratch and rumble
filter set of caps, the mains lead is damaged but not dangerous, the on off
switch inside the volume pot is held together with sticky tape. the two rear
power sockets are as standard and dangerous of course. It has two phono
input plugs one normal magnetic, one set for the deram ceramic.

I don't think elf and safety were as prominent in those days..:-)

The Rogers amp may have some value - Ebay etc. The others likely not. So
it really depends on wether you might use any of them again.

Well, the "old cassette deck" *might* be a high-end Nak. 8-]
