Even by Hi-Fi snake oil gadgets standards, this one is quitebaffling
I can't comment about Russ Andrews, but if you want to know about audio "smoke and mirrors" Brian, Magic Alex will interest you. He was the man who promised to build the Beatles a 72-track analogue multitrack recorder at a time when the 4 track Studer J37 was state of the art. He also said that he would render studio acoustic treatment, tiles, screens etc, as unnecessary by using an acoustic "force-field" generated by six massive computers which be bought as redundant technology from British Aerospace. Similarly, he claimed that a control to studio "talkback" system would no longer be required as he could electronically tune players/producers/engineers to the "same artistic wavelength". The Beatles put him in charge of their technical R+D at Apple Electronics to design and build there new studio in Saville Row. He brought them to to verge of bankcruptcy.
Goes to prove you can pay someone obscene sums of money but if they are
devoid of talent they'll still just produce crap.
Which reminds me, must go and check the BBC pay announcement to see what
Chris Evans is being paid...
