I assume you mean 8-tracks - they aren't quite the same.

No - NAB carts are a pro system. Think jingles etc on radio. Also the
actual carts are similar to look as as 8 tracks - and are also and endless
loop

They play the Q then stop back at the start of it. Very convenient for
playing in something like a jingle.
