Starting at 00:30 Sunday 7th the BBC are transmitting the dawn
chorus from all over Europe on R4 for about 6 hours. Sort of
slow radio I guess.

handy for those who cannot sleep or are working as security
guards at night.

Yes. And would really have annoyed me if I couldn't get WS direct. As I
always drift off listening to that. ;-)

R4 listeners perhaps more than most don't like change.

I had to stop going to sleep listening to the World Service overnight as
I kept getting woken up at 0'dark early by some awful "music and
movement type" schools programme.

Not when they have woken you up at 3:30 and all you can do is lie
there listening and thinking - yes you already said that, now will you
just shut up.

Give me a passing car any day (not that I hear any of those). It does
its thing, then buggers off somewhere else.
