I removed the Philips radio from my Rover a few years ago. I used a couple
of knitting needles to unlock it from the cage and pulled it out with my
fingers in the cassette slot. Easy...

I'm considering installing an Alpine HU in my G Type Astra (2002). Has
anybody done this? How easy is it to get the extra power cable to the
battery?

This question was asked not so long ago on here and if I remember correctly
all you will miss on the display is the information that is for CD/Radio. So
the temperature and clock should still work....
