Default Sub: Limited space

I've recently bought an Astra, after the Nova decided it had, had enough of
the long drives.

Basically, I cannot afford to lose any space in the car as I tend to carry a
LOT of kit in the car. I normally have the front seats forward and the whole
of the back filled. However, I'm missing the bass! I'm not mad about bass, I
just think everything sounds better once you have a Sub installed!

I'm wondering where I could fit a sub without taking up any room.....
The only place I can think of is under the passenger seat - how would a free
air sub sound in this position?

The other consideration I have to take into consideration, is the magnetic
field from the sub.... I tend to carry computer kit in my car (inc.
monitors), which don't particularly enjoy being anywhere near magnets!

Any suggestions??

Cheers,

B

Crap. Free air doesn't mean you can just put it on the floor and it will
work, it should really be referred to as Infinite Baffle. IB means the
baffle for the driver is large enough so that the front and back waves are
isolated so much that they have no effect on each other.
Best bet for under seat installation is Focal 5WSs, or DD's 6.5" subs. They
work in tiny boxes.
