Default Aux input to Ford: Done!

Thought I'd mention this, since it seems to crop up fairly regularly
on this newsgroup.

I wanted to add an aux input to my wife's Ford Focus, for an iPod. A
bit of searching here produced a reference to incarexpress.co.uk who
had a product that looked like it would work. They promptly answered a
couple of technical questions, and had the goods with me the following
day as promised.

For this application, it's a little black box with a cable to suit the
cd changer port on the radio, and a couple of phono sockets. It took
about half an hour to fit last night in the dark (bodging something
from welding wire to get the radio out was the longest part of the
job). Once fitted, a second prod of the 'CD' button connects the aux
input to the radio. I tried it out with my iRiver CD/MP3 player (iPod
not here yet...) and it works a treat.

Being of a pessimistic nature, I'm always thrilled when an Internet
purchase goes smoothly, so cheers to incarexpress...

Regards
John Midgley
