Default Astra 3D '01, Audio Upgrade IDEA's?

Hey guys ,

just purchasing a Holden (Opel) Astra 3door '01. The car is all factory
currently, but looking and giving it a source upgrade, followed by speakers,
powered by amp in near future.

I'm already keen to go and grab the Sony CDX-L490X (Silver) deck, since it's
well laid out, looks attractive, (has an adjustable Eq), plays CD-RW and is
cheap.

Tho, being an astra should i get someone to install it for me... roughly
$30AUS or do it myself.. what kinda complications are you going to run into
with a car of this type,

I'm into all things sounds, gadgetry, but havent done anything with car
audio.. I might found out if i go ahead and do it, but thought i'd ask here
first, since i hear the astra can be tricky with it's dash, and the display
screen above. I also wouldn't mind retaining a warranty after all of this
..

Further to all of this, where can i grab some sound design ideas' and
discussions on this type of car, (hatch 3 door).. Where should i be placing
the amp, are the factory door speaker inset's sufficient. ?, splits or
single 3ways? --- yes the astra does have dash sockets for tweeters,
inbuilt.

Some of your advice would be appreciated.

Mrfresh..
