Most stereos will do that... when you crank the engine it draws a lot of
power from the car, so the stereo may drop below it's required voltage for a
split second and turn off. You may also notice your interior lights dim/turn
off for a bit (if they're on).

Fair enough, that is what I have started doing now!
Its just a bit annoying when your waiting for some-one, listening to
music, and then when you start the engine it turns off and then on
again. However, this is a pretty rare situation!
OK, I was just being petty! Sorry!
Apart from that small complaint I am REALLY pleased with the player.
