im trying to wire a goodmans cd player (model GCE 7000 CD) in to my
car but im having trouble any pointers its my 1st wiring job.

the car is an 86 ford escort with the factory fitted radio still in
it.

the factory fitted radio only has 4 wires for power (one brown one
yellow one re one red and white) and i can hook them up to the new
radio ok.

my trouble lies in the speakers. there is just 4 cables coming out of
the back of the factory radio left +, - and the right +, - these go
into the deep into the console (great ford enginering for u) and then
there 6 wires in the back of the joystick for balance control! 4 into
6 so no idea whats going on there
the new radio has 8 wire for the speakers front right and left +,-
back right and left +,-.

so my question is this can i connect the speakers directly to the
speaker wires coming out of the back of the new unit??? or do i have
to try and somehow wire the eight speaker cables into the 4 wires
already in the car??? or do i do something else?????
