If you fit an Alpine unit you can add the stalk interface leads to use OEM
stalks.

I had a similar problem fitting a new unit to my 306 GLX. In the end
I opted for a Sony head unit but most will work as long as you can get
a suitable interface lead - Autoleads now make them to fit most
models.

I got the Head Unit and lead from IncarDiscount
www.incardiscount.co.uk and they had a good technical team who talked
me through the options.
