Default Help me with an enclosure problem!

Question for you.... Is my thinking right here?

A particular sub needs a box which is 1.25 cubic feet.

Therefore this is 3375 cubic inches.

The easiest way to do this is a box 15"x15"x15" (not allowing for the
thickness of the wood)

BUT....

If I wanted to create a box which was only 6" high, but was 24" wide and 24"
deep this would gove me an overall box size of 3456 cubic inches.

Although the box is very nearly the same size (even allowing for the basket
displacement of 138 cubic inches), how would this affect the sound produced?

Many thanks

Luke
