Right,

I feel the urge to put my spare xbox in the car, i have an invertor and a
small tft,
what do i need to do about sound ? Im clueless in that area.

cheers

Check to see if your headunit has an aux-input, or whether you can use the
CD Changer input for an Aux input (That's what I did on my Kenwood HU).

Otherwise, use an FM Modulator, but the quality won't be quite as sharp.

It's not linear, some people think it's not too bad, some people think it's
awful, seems to be affected by a wide variety of factors. I'd go with the
slightly more awkward option of trying to jack it into the HU. Or what I
actually did with my dvd and ps2 ('coz my hu had no input), get a 3 / 4 / 5
way a/v selector and jack it into here, then straight out to your amps
(abviously you'll need an inline volume slider somewhere). Always did the
trick for me.

I recently worked with a lad who did this with decent results.
He had LINUX running on the XBOX and had it configured to play everything
(VCD, DVD, MP3, CD's).

Doesn't answer your question but might give you a few more ideas in other
areas ;-)
