Default Car Audio Setup

Can anyone please recommend a good car setup for me please.

I currently have a 1998 Ford Escort GTI with standard speakers. I
have a good MP3 Head Unit feeding them. I also have a mosfet 360w Amp
which I can use. I wish to spend around £250 - £300 upgrading the
speakers and installing a modest sub.

What would be the best route to go? I believe that I would be wise to
fit good speakers in the front doors, but I can only fit 10cm speakers
there.

Thanks in advance for any help.

With the help of an adapter you can fit 5x7's or 51/4 units (co-ax's or
components) in the front doors. What exactly is the amp and how can it be
configured? What sort of music do you like to listen to? I would suggest you
dynomat the door panels etc anyway cos their prone to resonance on this car.

You could bridge the amp to a single channel and add a smallish 10" sub and
box, or drive the front speakers with the amp, leaving the rears on the HU
and add a sub at a later date.

More info really needed...

the amp is a 2 channel 360w. Don't know much more than that. How can
I tell if it's bridgable?

How can I fit 5x7's or 5 1/4" speakers in the front doors. The only
adapter i've found anywhere will only fit 10cm speakers in the front
doors.

As for the music I listen to. I listen to a lot of house music with
heavey beats, Breakbeat with deep base lines and energy stuff which
needs a lot of mids and high range stuff too, so i'm lookin for a
decent all round full sound.
