Default Foxguard Car Alarm Problem

I have recently purchased a 1989 VW Golf that has a Foxguard FG1 system
fitted but only one of the 2 supplied radio remotes works and as this one is
becoming a little unreliable I'm getting worried!

I've asked everywhere locally and apparantly the 2nd remote has lost it's
"pairing" with the system but nobody seems to know how to re-program it into
the system! Can anybody out there help me?

Thanks in advance!

Best Regards,
Michael

Personally, I'd look at scrapping the system. That particular model of
alarm had problems of that nature with it's rolling code system right
from day one.

Michael,

I guess that Jon from In-Car express hasn't done his research. Th
FG-1 is a perfectly good alarm system, and many cars still have the
fitted. Up until Foxguard were bought out by Toad, the FG-1 wa
Thatcham Cat. 1 approved. The problem you are having can be easil
rectified, but it will be quicker for you to call us and we'll g
through it, rather than me try and explain on here.

The number is 01278 789552; anybody there can help you. It would be
good idea to call on a mobile phone while you are at the vehicle, wit
both keys and access to the alarm module.
