Installing alarm for MY00 206gti anyone?
Trying to install my own alarm in the above car. I've tried to get all the
wires from the BSI plugs so its nice and tidy but still cant find the wires for the door trigger and the hazard lights. Door trigger should be negative type. Tried the Haynes but it doesnt cover the Gti and even after probing the connectors...no luck at all. Any ideas people? Car is MY00. Thanks! Jim |

Jim If by door trigger you mean the central locking wires It's not as simple as a negative pulse, the central locking has to be operated by interrupting the motor feed in a similar manor to Hondas. If it can do this then you need to interrupt wires 621(grey) and 620 (white) at the BLACK plug of the BSI. Indicators are 234(green) and 234(tan) at BSI GREEN plug Hope that helps, Steve www.autoelectronix.co.uk |

OH BTW...Steve....I was thinking of using the trigger from the center
interior light as the trigger for all the doors. Do you think this is safe or should I get the trigger from the door too? Do you know which one is the trigger for the door light for the drivers side door? I still have either negative or positive switch from the alarm system. Interesting it is to install but annoying at the same time when I cant find the correct wire. Thanks! Jim -- .. "Jim" wrote in message ... Hey Steve. Jim If you can't find the indicator feeds at the BSI, you could always check the wire colours at the back lamps, then look for these colours in the sill looms.
