Default CD changer in a Rover 600

I have a '96 620 SLDI, and it's fitted with the Rover 860 radio
casette player, but with no autochanger. (I believe this unit is
compatable with an autochanger)

If I were to get hold of the relevant autochanger, would I be able to
fit it and use it with the exhisting radio,

Yes, if your exisisting radio can control a changer.

and would there be any
wiring for the autochanger in the car? Is the autochanger in the 600
mounted in the boot or under the front seat?...

The factory-changer is mounted in the boot. In exactly the same place as the
electric ariel, but on the driver's side - it's here you should look to see
if the wiring is already present.
