Now here's the problem. All the in-car displays I've managed to find
will accept a PAL composite input. I want it to display VGA, from an
in-car PC. This will be used for sat-nav and possibly MP3 playback via a
Sony XA-300 input selector (a clever little gadget that sits between
your head unit and CD changer and provides 2 aux ins and a USB audio
device, with high quality Burr-Brown DACs). So a touchscreen system
would be kind of useful too, save messing about with keyboards etc.
not motorised but http://www.digitalww.com/DWW-7VGT.htm

Armin the owner is a member over at

He is a one man band, so sometimes delivery takes a little while, but he
is cool, also honours warrenties if something goes wrong, and if you
break something fiddling, he can usually find the parts you need at a
good price instead of insisting you return it for expensive
repair/replace.
If
http://www.digitalww.com/VGA_GA700YY_indash.htm says instock, and you
can afford it, order, other wise get the manual one. This has been
"Coming Soon" for over a year now, Armin gets the sample, order plenty
then gets fobbed off every month.
also have a look at

Opus car PSUs outside the US).

amongst CarPC people).

My system is removed ATM, as I knackered the controller on my 10.4" TFT
panel, and I'm changing car soon. will probably go for a fibreglassed in
7.2" touchscreen, with my current blaupunkt headunit, and use an Opus
with a slim DVD rom, instead of the USB 2.0 DVD and inverter for power
that I'm currently using.
