Default Fiesta...installing a CD player

mo wrote:
Hi
I have a Fiesta, it currently has its standard cassette player, i
have a CD player that i wanna stick in...

Main problem is that the standard space is like twice the size of a
regular CD player, so i am guessing i will have a huge empty gap
above/below the CD player when its in - someone told me there are
cases you can buy to fill it up...any ideas?

Also, a friend of mine says its not too hard to install it yourself ,
any websites which show you how? Or if not, whats the avg price a
garage might charge to install?

You need a fascia adaptor, and a wiring harness adaptor. I did the same
thing in my Ka, which is basically very similar to the Fiesta you have.
You'll also be likely to need an aerial adaptor, but these can be picked up
fairly cheaply at local car parts stores once you've ripped everything apart
and know which one you want. You'll need DIN removal tools to get the old
Ford stereo out too. I've bought such things from
http://www.incardiscount.co.uk in the past, seemed pretty cheap and the
stuff arrived. Better than messing around with Halfords at least.
