Default Are interfaces standard?

I would like to replace the factory fitted head unit in my Honda accord with
an MP3 unit.

I have actually done this already with a Kenwood unit but I have
a) lost use of steering wheel audio control
b) lost sound from my Nav-Sat system

Could a new non-Honda unit rectify this?
Is there now a standard connector for allowing connection of these fairly
common interfaces?
Any head unit recommendations?

Regards,

Steve

As far as I know, Audiomotive is a company
manufacturing interfaces for this purpos.
Ther was a unit in my second hand car built in.

I'm actually interested to get technical information
about the impedance converter B4T/94V-0-A9825,
but the homepage www.audiomotive.no is not
available.

Perhaps anybody knows something about this company,
I would highly appreciate to hear about.
