Have you considered a car computer?

I have got a VW Golf mk V and would like to get an MP3 player for it,

Can anyone recomend a way of getting MP3s in car with the following
requirements...

1) Keep existing VW head unit.
2) Not CD based MP3
3) At least 4GB capacity
4) Flexible menu interface
5) Doesnt need to be factory fitted when car is new!
