Default Mk5 Golf car audio

I can assure you it plays CD-RW's - I use them in mine...

Can anyone here who has a Mk5 Golf confirm if
1 The radio has speed sensitive volume control (gala)

I think strictly it's 'ambient noise' sensitive.

It would be nice if that were the case, but only Pioneer I know have
ambient
noise volume adjustment and very good it is too.

2 The Cd plays CDR or CD/RW

No

This answer is conflicting of an earlier reply.

3 If the CD plays MP3 discs

No
4 If the radio has LW

No

On many radios selecting AM and scrolling above 1600Khz or below 530Khz
selects LW.
but not essential.

5 If the car is prewired for a boot mount CD or Phatnoise player

The CD changer is mounted in the armrest, so probably not

Thanks in advance.
