Default 10-CD Changer for HU-650

Hi,

I have a new Volvo with the HU-650 head unit and a 10-CD changer cable
installed.
I know I should have checked before ordering but I am now drawing a blank as
to where I can get an aftermarket 10-CD Changer to fit.
The connectors are both rectangular with 2 rows of pins, a green 10-pin and
a brown 16-pin.

All of the Volvo compatible units seem to be 6-CD with different
connections. Has anybody been through this and solved it?

Thanks,

Alex

AFAIK, no-one in the UK offers interfaces for HU*** units. There
appears to be some issue with these, as most interface manufacturers
specifically list them as not being compatible with their interfaces.

The "other" type is for the older, Alpine manufactured units. Current ones
(HU6** HU8**) are all Mitsubishi systems custome made for Volvo and require
the OE changer, or one made by a company called USA-Spec, available from
Crutchfield in the US but you'll pay carriage and duty.

Thanks Tim,

Not what I wanted to hear, but not unexpected, at least I've had it
confirmed.
Went to the Crutchfield site and even they didn't appear to have an HU
compatible unit as far as I can see.
Will think about saving up for the OEM one!
