Default Speaker amp recomendation

Hello :-)

I was wondering if someone could help me out.

I have this an Alpine cda-9853r (not fitted yet) its the start of my small
ice setup (not wanting to go nuts or deaf)

My car is a golf 1.6s 2001. Has the standard speakers that came with it.
Dont know there specs but not bad for general radio listening. Theres 4
speakers and all 1 in each of the doors (there round ones)

I basically dont know much about this sort of thing. My needs, I do a lot of
motorway driving and my standard speakers and system are poor as the high
speeds kill most of the sound so not much point in putting it on.

A friend advised me to get 2 really good speakers for the front unless
theres anyone in the back listening, its usually just myself driving on
business trip, and said to get 3 way speakers? which means absolutely
nothing to me.

Could anyone recommend some good speakers for this head unit budget of about
£200 max.

Nex port of call was a amplifier, not sure I would need one ? but I read
when you get new speakers you should really get the amp at the same time.
I'm not sure I need an amp as the head unit has a basic kind of amp but not
sure how draining it is on the unit (getting a bit lost here)

Subwoofer probably not needed not quite sure what it does, is it for people
who listen to music with losts of bass.

Also how do you know what speakers to get they come in all shapes and sizes
how will Ik now what will fit in my door and would I need to have the door
modified for new speakers or find some that fit ? is it a universal size ?

Lots of questions, be grateful for any help anyone can provide.

Thanks
