Default Components & Skoda Octavia

Could someone recoments some component speakers to go in the front of a
Mk1 Octavia, with no cutting of the doors and pref the crossovers built
into the speakers ? Say less than £100. I

I just want something to improve the standard speakers, not blow the
windows out. HU is an Alpine CDA-9853R, no amp or sub.

TIA

S

I have some kenwoods for sale that I took out of my Octy , but they aren't
particularly bassy (though very nice sounding) so they may not be ideal if
you have no plans for a sub.

Which ones ?

I've bought some Pioneer Components that the Pioneer web site reckons
will fit the front, and some coaxl Pioneers for the rear.

May end up getting a sub or some 6x9's in a stealth shelf depending on
how it all sounds. Not keen on subs though.

Its a shame the standard ICE in the Octavia is so poor. Once you'd
changed the HU in a Leon it sounded pretty good, lots of bass as well.

The boot on the octy is vast.
Plenty of room without it getting in the way

Yep , it's awful - both speakers and HU are dire.
I lasted about 2 weeks before I ripped the lot out.
On the Octy MkII it's vastly better. Obviously not as good as a proper
aftermarket setup but for factory fit I'm very pleased with it

Ohh, where did you hide the crossovers ?

Granted yes, subs just seem a bit 'Gary' to me for some reason though!
