Default VW Polo 1998 - Car Stereo Removal - Sony XR-4759RDS (HELP!!!)

Hi Guys,

I REALLY need some help here, i've been trying to get the thing out for
over an hour and I don't know how to do it.

Sony XR-4759RDS in a 1998 VW Polo (UK)

I've searched the net and found a really poor website with poor
instructions.

I need some really detailed instructions, i.e. how to get the thing
out, how far to push keys in, where they go, do i need to turn them,
how many do i need etc...

Any help would be MUCH appreciated.

Thanks.

Presuming they are the same as the Sony Explod ( which I have no longer so
this
is from memory ) which had the tools like this http://tinyurl.com/5q6tyj

I need some really detailed instructions, i.e. how to get the thing
out, how far to push keys in, where they go,

remove the facia and then the trim surround and you will see the slots (two
pairs of holes)
insert the keys slowly you will feel them click leaving about 2- 3 inches
sticking out

do i need to turn them,

no apply gentle pressure inwards and pull towards you - you may ( very
probably) need
to grip the body of the radio as the cage tends to want to hold on

how many do i need etc...

2 needed

Any help would be MUCH appreciated.

Thanks.

Hope that helps there is an alternative key like a pair of big hair grips
but the principle is much the same.

Derek

oops thats if its the hairgrip type the ones I linked to obviously are
narrow slots close to the edge of the radio
