I have a Ford Radio (model 2007) from a Granada circa 1987. It has an
8 pin plug wired thus

*thin red
*thin brown
*yellow
*grey/yellow
*thin brown/yellow
*thick brown
*thin black/green
*thick pink

there is a small separate yellow plug with 6 pins but only one thin
black wire in it. Also a USB type port with a ribbon cable which
presumably is for an amp/graphic whatever?

I have wired the 8 pin plug up and the radio works (tuning etc) just
no sound from the speakers, apart from the odd crackle if I change the
wires around.

Any ideas of the colour code for the Granada?

The rest you can ignore. You'll need to locate the speaker cables from
the output side of the amp, which is buried up behind the dash.
