Default Anyone familiar wth Philips/VDO carin systems?

I've just picked up a car with one fitted. I looks like the arial
connection isn't fitted. Last owner said "I never listen to the radio so
I never connected it".

I'm guessing the antenna lead and the power aren't connected because
there is absolutley no reception, not even a weak radio2 which seems to
work on most head units even with a power antenna retracted.

Radio itself works, but just scans the fequencies rather than lock onto
anything.

I will probably rip it and the nav stuff out pretty quickly as the nav
cd looks like it has been danced on by a bunch morris dancing navvies.
But I want to check wether it is just the power feed and a disconnected
antenna that is stopping it working before I buy.

How do you remove one of these? Is it the two pronged coat hanger
remover type, or one of the flat blade types?
