Default Wall-mounted CD players?

Hi,

I'm on the lookout for a stylish wall-mounted CD player. I've seen these
around before, and they look quite nice (quite like the ones you might see
at HMV).

Are speakers built in? Any good? Know where I might be able to find them /
search term?

Thanks,
Dan.

Bang & Olufsen make some, I expect they sound alright, but not as good as
the same cash dropped on a load of conventional hifi. I listened to an
Amstrad (around £100) wall mounted thing a year or two back and it was
absolutely awful. Some £100 mini or midi systems or whatever they call the
little 1 box and 2 speaker things sound a lot better. At £100 there isn't
the money to make a decent sounding and almost flat pair of speakers IMO.

Actually, they've finally gone 'big time' Their new CD players
combined with the 'Dalek' speakers have quite staggering sound
quality, and at less than £15k for the whole shebang, are actually
pretty good value in 'audiophile' terms. Plus of course, you get the
matchless B&O styling thrown in.....................

I've got a spot of old 70s B&O clobber lying around and it all sounds fairly
decent to me, but it's more of a form following function looks than the
current stuff. I was more trying to avoid an u.r.a jihad .

If you want 'stylish' then you're probably thinking of Bang & Olufsen. IMHO
they sound about half as good as they cost but, to be fair, they are well
constructed and stylish in appearance.
