Default Recording from Realplayer problem

I have recorded a program using Realplayer from the BBC.

When I listen to the stream using realplayer the "volume" seems pretty
constant. If I record this using Wavelab to capture the "Wave" (as
opposed to Line in etc) the volume varies between quiet and loud and
back again.

Is there a way around this? How do other people record from
Realplayer.

The program I want to record is at

http://www.bbc.co.uk/blackcountry/mu...nterview.shtml

Thanks

Noz

I've used Total Recorder to record streaming audio for a year or so now (inc
stuff from the BBC) and it's never let me down yet

Thanks for the link - have downloaded and tried it out. I get the
same problem with the volume of the recording phasing up and down over
a 10 second or so cycle.

Will keep trying...

Thanks Malcolm - and HNY too!

does this happen when you record with Stepvoice too?
sounds like Realplayer is deliberately doing this to stop people recording.
regards malcolm

PS heres my DIY Loudspeaker webpage for anybody thats interested.
I have some Sonnotube speakers there,
they sound sweet at low levels and awesome at volume.
