My parents have bought a Sony mini CD/Radio Unit with speakers but the
cables are (riduclously) short. Problem is, typical Sony have made the
connectors non-standard so Maplins et al won't do it without cutting the
cable (which would invalidate the warranty!).

I have spoke to the Sony parts Dept. who have put in a request for me for a
long extension cable or alternatively the male/female connectors so I can
get a cable made. However, I think they'll come back negative for both of
these requests.

So, does anyone have any idea if these connectors or cables are available
anywhere else?
