Default What a watt, wot?

All this SS vs. valve amplifier malarkey of late has led me to revisit my
Technics SS power amp.

Soundwise, on vinyl with valve pre's, it's very impressive (very 'grippy')
if none too beguiling, but what does make me smile is the way that, at quite
'normal' sound levels (i.e more 'home alone' than 'sod 'em, we're double
glazed...')

Check the scale here first:

and then watch

http://www.apah69.dsl.pipex.com/keit...w/sharkey1.MOV (2.7 Mb)

or (better yet)

http://www.apah69.dsl.pipex.com/keit...w/sharkey2.MOV (6.4 Mb)

(apologies for the lousy quality - my camera's a bit pony when it comes to
movies)

make the necessary allowances to judge the sound level for yourself and
watch that needle bounce all the way up to ONE WHOLE WATT......!!!!

:-)
