I seem to be "put down" for expressing an opinion that many other newsgroup
readers do not agree with. That's not to say I am wrong (or right for that
matter). At the very least people should use their own ears to decide for
themselves, instead of having people hounded out of newsgroups because what
has been said isn't the "common" view.

We *do* use our own ears. You seem to need your eyes.............

(Wars were fought for because of people not agreeing to "minority" views).

Bull****. Wars are fought for political expediency, and for scarce
resources like oil.

For example, Hitler oppressed the gypsies, blacks and homosexuals
before he oppressed the Jews, but the first three groups didn't
control Hollywood..........

Of course, that's so thoroughly tied up that no one is allowed to make
such comments these days, vide the hounding of Kilroy-Silk by the BBC,
which *used* to be considered as the bastion of free speech, and
entirely free from political,influence..............

Sure, his comments about Arabs were in many ways puerile and ignorant,
but instead of just laughing at his ignorance, the BBC panicked and
pulled his show. This is not a good sign in what is supposed to be the
birthplace of democracy and civil liberty.

And if you want to call me a dork, fine - if that helps you.

It does seem to fit. BTW, dorks who are too scared to use their real
names don't get too many brownie points in this forum.
