Etymotic ER6
I thought I'd post my first thoughts on the Etymotic ER6 "headphones"
I've just bought. If you can stand something in your ear canal (and I'm used to wearing earplugs so it's okay for me) these are superb. Better than my Grado SR60's and because they isolate (15dB?) from external sounds they're great for a noisy environment. I got them for train and air travel - superb! £88 inc shipping. |

I'll second that, got some last year - damn fine, especially for DVDs on the laptop when away from home |

Because they isolate by a good few dB (10-15 ish) meaning you can listen quieter and spend less time assaulting your eardrums with a wrung out personal DAB/MD/CD or whatever you listen to on the move. They're damned good, forget any earbuds you've heard before - the ER6 is the cheapest of the decent quality units (hey, I've got some shures as well, I think they're E1s or E2s but I'm not impressed with them in the same way). Etymotic ER4s are smaller and better and suffer less cable noise. |
