Default Gyrodec questions

Hi,

I have an original GyroDec (serial number 004 to be precise) and I
payed £500 for it - it came with a Fidelity Research FR64fx tonearm
(+original box & instructions) and a decent MM cart. So I'd say that
the price you've been quoted is way out of line and way too expensive.

As for the arm, go heavy!

Hello

I'm looking for a used Gyrodec.
Could anybody suggest a good price to pay for a good
condition MkI(aluminum platter) without arm/cartridge?
There's a shop here that has one, but I think it's
overpriced at 1200 Euros (around 800 UKP)
what would be a reasonable maximum to pay?

Also, I can't find any price info on the updates that
Michell offer; Does anybody know what the bearing/platter
upgrade would cost? the motor can wait until I get some more
cash.

I could use my (original 70s) Hadcock 228 arm on it. Would
that be a good idea?

Thanks in advance,

Hans van Dongen
