I use IMF TLS80's which is a 30 year old speaker, but still sounds good to

You could also try Linn Isobariks which use two bass units in push-pull
with
again very low bass.

Well said that man. I still mourn the day that 'management' pressure forced
me to scrap my Baileys.
Have a look at the TDL units that Richer are selling - and much cheaper than
when TDL were first around. They uses a 'reflex transmission line' system -
essentially a reflex construction but in part a transmission line behind it.
And what was that about putting them near walls? That will boost the bass of
even a small speaker. If you want good bass, especially from a
floor-standing, you ideally need them at least 1m clear of any wall or
similar large structue.
